I'm a pop in kind of girl. I like for my house to be clean, of course, but if someone pops in... I'm free. Free from having to rush around and get overwhelmed trying to clean. It's not perfect, I get over it. I also love to see other peoples houses not perfect. It frees me up. When Carson and I first got married we lived in Maryville. Our closest friends lived below us...best times ever. There was no calling ahead. I loved it. My door is ALWAYS open, for neighbors, anyone. If my house is not perfect with vaccuum lines in the carpet...then your dropping by just freed me up.

This makes me sad. I typically was not a drop in kind of gal, meaning that I did not drop in on anyone without calling, and I prefer someone call before they were coming , just so I wasn't running around in my birthday suit! ha ha, just kidding.
But now I would love drop ins, there's nobody to come and see us, so I wish we would have had more drop ins and not been so uptight when they happened!!!
Great question!!

Call please... unless I am expecting you. I love having people in, over and around, but want my house to be halfway presentable. It usually never is 100%, but I like it to at least be picked up if someone were coming by. My neighbor and I have the understanding though that the door is always open, dusty, messy, tidy or clean- she is one of the ones I never mind to pop in. Kind of like what Tracy C. says- some people you mind, some you don't...
Good convo topic Les!

I think it depends on how close you are to someone. Some people I wouldn't mind if my house was a wreck and others I would. You know?
